Can someone tell me roughly what time French markets start up in the morning and what time they pack up - I am assuming its a fairly early start. Quillan Posted July 24, 2010 Share Posted July 24, 2010 All markets seem to open about 08:00, some finish at lunchtime and other later in the afternoon. Esperaza (Sunday) is OK, bit of a 'hippy' market, its a Sunday market but the best by far is at Mirepoix (Monday), about an hours drive away but it finishes dead on 12:00. There are also markets at Limoux (Friday) and Carcassonne (Thursday), if its Brocante you want then its Saturday at Perpignan. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I had heard that Mirepoix was a particularly good market - we are at Puivert so it will probably be a little nearer than Esperaza. Might find time to take in both. All the best and thanks again.
