how to transfer funds within France

So used to telephone banking and coward that I am, usually banking with Britline due to my useless spoken French I now need to transfer a rental deposit from my 'normal' Credit Agricole account salary goes into to the landlords French bank account. The problem is Credit Agricole is regionalised and i am working 800 miles from where my branch is...I dont think you can just pop into any branch and expect to do instant transfers etc, they expect you to write in...which would take too long....even if i want to transfer funds between my own CA account and Britline (where i only keep a small amount no enough for the deposit). I think my only option is to pay a cheque into the landlords account but i want it to be cleared in max three or four days...does anyone know if there is a service offered by French banks enabling me to do this...i dont mind if it costs a few euros extra?

Hello,

Can`t this be done on-line, internet banking with Britline is free,  you should be able to transfer online between french banks. I know its a nightmare trying to pay into Britline, it can be done, you need the right french phrase, which I`ve forgotten at the moment, but the nice  girl on the end of the telephone at Britline will tell you.
