Clarkkent Posted January 6, 2009 Share Posted January 6, 2009 It is good in places. For the most part it is a single carriageway with two lane and one lane sections. There are a number of small towns/large villages which the road goes through - the largest of which is Vendome. There are traffic lights in the towns and villages.Chateaudun used to be a real pain but it has now been given a ring road. However if traffic is heavy the ring road can be slow.I would allow two hours between Chartres and Tours and be pleasantly surprised if you take less time.
