Cost of selling house

I bought a new house three years ago and am interested in the cost of selling it, ie what taxes will I have to pay and what other costs are likely. I intend buying another house in France with the proceeds.

I think you'd be more likely to get a response if you posted in the 'Owning French Property' section. But if you do ask again there you will need to make it clear if the house is your primary or secondary residence, and whether or not you are tax resident in France (i.e. you fill in French tax returns). These make a considerable difference to taxes payable. Provisions for new-build houses can also be different from those for older ones.
