Deimos Posted December 5, 2005 Share Posted December 5, 2005 There is a commercial airport at Angers Marce (north of Angers on the A11, just by Le Loir). It used to be busier (commercially) but now only has a few commercial flights. Busiest part of the airport is the gliding where the glider runway is only a hundred meters or so from the tarmac runway (see http://www.toursmoreau.dynalias.org/images/vac.jpg). Deimos Posted December 6, 2005 Share Posted December 6, 2005 By the way, the promo photography for Renault’s new cars(next spring) was photographed at the airport with the gliders there and some “called-in”visiting Mirages.I was at the gliding club there today and asked and theywere aware of the new flights (at least that they are expected to start next spring?). It is thought they will be using 65seater planes and the ticket cost will be €52.
