advice when buying pool

hi, we have had a pool fitted for a year. we chose an english speaking company, for ease.

we have had nothing but problems, and the company leaves a lot to be desired in after sales.

we have had ongoing problems (outside our control) since the pool was fitted. we are still awaiting resolutions to the problems, but the company does not seem to bother.

once we paid for the pool fitting, we became irrelevant as client.

please do not get caught like we did.

problems include : mis selling of items, inappropriate advice, pool cover/ securty problems (even though by law this aspect should be finalised before signing off the job)>

Sorry to hear about your problems, we too have had problems with the French Enterprise that installed our pool in 2004.  There have been quite a few threads on this forum about shoddy or non existent after sales service.And in particular the need for some kind of proffesional body.

One important thing to find out is have they got the appropriate type of 10 year insurance?, the company that built ours did not, and apparently it is qiute difficult for compaines to get insurance for building pools.
