Charallais Posted April 1, 2004 Share Posted April 1, 2004 I need to have regular cholesterol tests and have my asthma checked every 6 months. How do I organise this and with whom? Bobdude Posted April 1, 2004 Share Posted April 1, 2004 Hi, yes, I can't tell you about the asthma tests but my husband has cholesterol tests quite regularly and gets a note from the GP to take to the nurse or directly to the laboratory. I would guess that if you aren't resident you could probably go direct to the laboratory without the GP. You pay them direct (about 23 Euros) whereas if you go to a nurse you pay the nurse direct (about 4 euros) and pay the rest when you collect the results the next day from the Pharmacy.
