Accessing UK web host from France

Hi there,

I will be moving to France in a few months. One of the things I want to do soon is set up a web site, so I'm thinking of taking out a hosting package in the UK. I have two questions:

1. Can anyone recommend a good, reliable, cheap hosting service with good support?

2. Will I have any problem accessing my UK host from France once I'm on French ADSL?

In order to check uptime infomation about various hosting companies you can use http://uptime.netcraft.com/perf/reports/Hosters

There are also other stats available on Netcraft that may help to make you decision.

If you pay for a hosting package (not 'free' web space) then you should have no problems accessing them from France. They should just provide you with access details for a FTP server to upload your files onto.

I've had no problems with them and for that price it's a bargain.
