And, in my experience set at 3 months after signing of the compromis. However, noone is going to be too worried if you delay it by a short period, although I doubt if a Notaire would be happy about it being brought forward. We ended up delaying ours by 10 weeks, whilst the Vendors grumbled they were quite nice about it. In theory, they could claim that you have not completed the sale & claim your deposit if you do not complete on time.
