Le_Jars
I understand the vehicle I'm looking for (on the web) is imported from the USA, but does this mean it's already registered here?
Sunday Driver
It means registered in a country outside the EU. Why not post a link to the website so we can see more information about this car?
Le_Jars
Here's what I was looking at (although at 11000 euros, maybe not!)http://annonces.flat4ever.com/detail.php?siteid=18944I love aircooled buses and want to buy a french one (without goingthrough the rigmarole of re-registering it here, hence the question). And thanks for the reply. Sunday Driver
That VW is still on its US registration so it'll cost you a bomb to put it through a French type approval test and register it here. Looks a bit of a dog, to be honest. There are better ones to be found over here (and French registered, too).Whatever you do, if you're looking for a VW camper or microbus (or a van to convert) don't buy a UK one with the side doors on the left hand (UK) side. They can't be type approved for France so you won't be able to import it.
Le_Jars
Thanks, but I've already done what you describe and that's the very reason I'm looking for a french one ideally.
