Bridan Posted August 9, 2006 Share Posted August 9, 2006 I spend half my time in France & the other half over here.Would it be worth my while (cheaper) if I registered my car in France & drove It in England on French plates.I know a lot of British Haulage companies are registering their lorries in Belgium because of our high road tax. Benjamin Posted August 9, 2006 Share Posted August 9, 2006 We did exactly that when we used to spend our time between France, Spain and the UK.Without any Road Fund Licence in France and cheaper (in general) insurance if you qualify legally to do so and you take into account the costs of re registering a UK car here then over a period of time it is cheaper to have a French registered vehicle.Benjamin Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
