Window/door grilles

I have seen them in the larger DIY shopping sheds; Leroy Merlin or Castorama, for example, but I suspect it depends on the age of the windows and if they are stock sizes.

In the past the village blacksmith would have made them. Do you have one of those near you ?

Thanks, all the ones in Lapeyre seem to be for placing inside the wall

surrounding a window. I need something that will bolt onto the front of

a wooden door over the glass panes.

Cassis - do you mean you can make them up as long as you can weld?

Just back from Leclerc and popped into Mr Bricolage to check it out.  The brand is Seco-kit and it bolts together using security screw fixings - so you can screw it together but not take it apart.  No welding required.  There are 7 designs in the range but Mr B only had a couple, including the popular barley sugar twist design and a plain square section design.  They can be wall surface fitted or fitted into window reveals; as they can be surface fitted then they should work on a door as well.  May be worth a look.
