Washing machine connectrions

We'll have to get our Bendicks Servised (in the agricultural sense).

In all seriousness we have a Bosch machine in France, brought from England. We got a hot fill added, because we were having some plumbing done in the laundry room. The company that did the work also sells Bosch appliances, and though the English system a much better idea from an energy-saving point of view, while confirming that apart from the extra connection the English and French versions of the machine were identical.

A Y-piece is probably a better solution than just one hose, because some machines will expect to get water through both hoses and will fill slightly quicker (even though any advantage is reduced significantly by having to heat up the water). If not connecting the hot inlet, do blank it off in some way otherwise you could get water pouring out under some circumstances.

Incidentally, I don't think we have ever used any programme hotter than 40 degrees.

Or plug your Electrolux in and pop it in the bath with you.
Turn it upside down, screw collar fits on tap, two hoses fit onto the two branches, unless someone knows otherwise...
Damn.

I really wanted to work a sex reference into this thread (for cassis' benefit, of course).
