Woodburner flue

We want to instal a woodburner (one of the "ready to go" ones) which do not need a fireplace.  The flue will come straight out of the top of the fire and straight up the wall and then through the roof, no bends or angles.  We realise that the actual fire needs to be about 50cm away from the wall and that the chimney needs to be 50cm above the roof line to create sufficient draw.  Do we still need a professional to instal this fire?  All seems pretty straightforward but am I being naive, any advice welcome.  Cheers

It is fairly straightforward. Make sure all the parts are compatible. Get a Poujoulat catalogue http://www.poujoulat.com. The exit through the roof is always fiddly but I think youwill find that the double skinned flue only need to be 15cm from the wall and there are special fittings if you have to go through a timber floor.
