  1. Hi,

I know this question is like " how long is a piece of string"  but here goes.

I've got an indexed linked pension income of £1,100 per month ( Local Government tax paid in UK ) with a small nestegg and my old age pension kicking in, in a few years, with no mortgage or rent, new car and no debt of any kind what sort of standard of living can I expect to have in France.

Hopefully we are going to keep chickens and have a veg patch so its not the high life we are after !

Will I have to subsidise my pension from my savings ?

    Regards Dave

  2. Hi, Good Morning

Has anyone experience of importing a new car from the Netherlands into France.

There's a company out there, who are offering to sell a French Spec New Car to me at a really good price.

I buy it whilst in the UK with sterling, pick it up in Belgium, on Belgium Plates and drive to my home in France.

Its to get round taxes etc I assume but is there a sting in the tail somewhere.

    Regards Dave

  3. Hi,

I've since found out that the " list of 30 Serious Diseases" is not for publication!

Epilepsy, which is the illness I was enquiring about, is not on the list.

i'm told you can however ask the local doctor to support a case of having your illness classified as inclusive in the same catagory ie 100% cover.

    Thanks anyway.

Have a great bank holiday weekend where-ever you are

    Dave

  4. Hi, Thanks for the advice regarding epilepsy.

I've a few questions regarding precriptions

Do you get a precription in the same way as the UK ie go see a doctor?

Can you get a repeat precription from a doctor?

Are there set charges for each type of drug / medicine?

Are there any types of drugs that are "free" from the pharmacy?

    Regards, have a good weekend,

     Dave
