  1. Have re-checked the form and nowhere have we put anything to do with those things so dont know how thats come up! Nothing ever seems to be easy!
  2. Hi Clair We have none of those so think we have entered something in the wrong box (again!). Thanks for your reply, will go back over it.
  3. Have just finished doing hubbys tax form online - never an easy task! On the final page there were 2 different figures given in green. One was the degrevement which is normal for us and the other was prevelement sociaux - what is the 2nd one for please? Is this something we will have to pay? Do people that normall have to pay tax have the figure coming up in red or is it green too? Thanks
  4. Hi, As I understood it, if you are under the AE scheme you dont have to pay this for first coulpe of years. Had an informative email today confirming this too. My hubby closed down is previous business (not AE) and opened a new one under the AE scheme. Should he still qualify to not have to pay this bill does anyone know? He has recd a bill but I will go and ask at the tax office if anyone thinks, like me, this is wrong. Thanks
  5. Hi, Im looking for a Lab puppy in the Vendee area. Anyone have any available please?
  6. Hi all, What heading would this come under on the AE scheme? Would it need a specific title or could it come under garden maintenance or cleaning? Thanks
  7. Sorry I didnt reply! This was actually the site that was causing the confusion as he has to put figures and such in. Had to call in help in the end but thanks anyway.
  8. Thanks but they dont really help. My hubby registered as Services a la personne and had to have an agreement so clients could claim tax back. By having this agreement, he has to fill in a form on a site called Extranet Nova - this is where it gets complicated and we dont understand what its for or why he has to do it!
  9. Is anyone here registered and working under this heading? Need some questions answered please?
  10. We have found a lovely little spot in the woods near a quiet beach which we would like to camp on for 1 night. There are no houses around and there are no signs to say its not allowed but if we were spotted what would happen? Would we just be moved on or would there be a fine? Cheers
  11. Hi again Steve, But what about the maison bit, MSA said they dont have anything to do with inside? Why is everything so confusing?!
  12. Having a nightmare with trying to change type of work. Hubby is swapping from MSA to a different title under the AE but what a palavar!! We wanted to do it properly and went for meetings instead of doing online but seems we have amde it harder for ourselves with the paperwork involved. Now wondering whether to just do it online so.... Has anyone registered as a Services a la personne online? Which organisation gave you your siret number? Reason I ask is that hubby cant go thru the CdeC as his original business was registered with them, he can however go thru the CdeM. So, if the online reg goes thru the CdeC it would be invalid. As an extra question, what organisation would an Entretien de Maisons, parcs and jardins be under please?
  13. Steve, that tax rebate youve mentioned, we get too under MSA. Do you know if that would stop if hubby changed to the AE system or would we still get it? dont really want to lose out on that as its very handy!
  14. I have been told that we should have been sending our avis D'impot to the MSA each year as this could reduce our cotisations. Does eveyone else do this? Why havent the MSa asked for them if this is the case? Thanks
  15. Sorry, previous reply didnt show up then when I posted again, both were there - now cant delete lol
  16. Hi Cathy, Thanks for that. do you know if qualifications are needed for this?
  17. Hi there, Is there somewhere that you can view online the titles available under the AE scheme and what they include? Hubby would like to register as a labourer but theres varying answers to which heading it would be - 'ouvrier' seems to be one, services à la personne another. Or is it necessary to go to the CdC?
  18. Thanks Théière. I will be happy if I get money back from garage, least I can look for something else then. Was really just looking into what other people thought I should do.
  19. Fair enough, thats what I wanted an opinion on thanks. Having said that, they were the insurance approved garage that towed the car away and were asked to find out the fault to fix it. They said it was the head gasket. Shouldnt they have picked up any other problems too? I thought thats what garages did - fixed cars. In answer to your question though, the oil light came on, without the temperature gauge going up, and within 2 minutes the engine went bang. This was within 20 minutes of picking the car up as fixed. Thanks for your reply.
  20. Well, the block wasnt broken before the garage repaired the head gasket. The oil light had been on when the gasket went and they were supposed to fix the whole problem. The car was a Daewoo, 10 years old.
  21. We went on holiday down South the other week and the head gasket went on the car. Our insurance were great, got the car towed to garage, got us hirecar etc. The car wasnt going to be ready for a week so we had to drive home again. We got another hirecar Mon to return the 770kms to the garage, hubby having to take 2 days off work to do the trip. We got our car, paid the 540 euros & were told its all good to go. However, 30 mins later the oil light came on and the engine blew up on a very busy motorway. We were towed again to another garage were we saw a huge crack in the engine with lots of oil pouring out. The insurance wouldnt cover the cost of towing the car home, the cost of a new engine was high along with the 2 days off work again and petrol/tolls to go back down there. Sadly, we scrapped the car. The original garage are saying they will reimburse us for the cost of the work which I hope is true. Now, other people are saying we should claim for more - loss of earnings, the petrol and tolls (around 300 euros) etc etc. Does this sound feasible? How would I go about it? Is it worth the hassle? Would be easier if the garage were in my village, I might push a bit more. Any thoughts? And any free cars going? lol
