I would rather they failed on a practice run and not on the real thing but as I did read in a newspaper it will take four years to destroy the earth from inside to surface. So, if that is the case we have longer than we thought so OH may get the new bedroom built and decorated. Glad you enjoyed an afternoon with friends and the red stuff was Ribena I hope.

Not as clever as they thought they were as everyone knows you can get anything on eBay

Cheap skates !!!! Should have gone to Comet.

We have had a reprieve as the machine has broken down and will be out of action for two months. That makes us all feel so confident in what the " clever ones " are doing but at least we will have time to sort out our veg plots and chop the logs now.

This puts all our worries and woes into perspective....bless her.

Turner & Hooch ( reminds us of our boxer we lost a couple of years ago ) and The Bodyguard....I just love that movie.

We are OK then as I have bees in my garden today Phew !!!!!

I heard a report that it could take four years for the end of the world. The world will start breaking up deep within and it will not be noticable immediately. Anyone else heard this ?

I love this advert as with the normal rubbish on TV lately with all the phone in cons, this is so clever and refreshing. I also thoght it was a good movie starting as they are in short supply as well.

I agree with that, Gastines, and they ask the same sort of questions at airports...i.e. " did you pack your own bag " No, My best mate a terrorist packed it for me Sir !!!!!

Someone told me that Johnny Depp has a home at Ill de Re near La Rochelle. Not sure how true this is. Anyone know of any other celebs who have homes in France ?

We will be driving so I will take a chance. If it is confiscated from my bag there will be more in the boot of the car for when I get to UK.

Well, that clinches it now, I will definately take my knitting on board now as there is a limit to how much reading we can do and certainly not for six and a half hours. Yes !! Ysatis, I am still knitting baby coats for baby expected any time hence a trip to UK and slightly bigger ones now for Oscar. I thought I had finished with all of that but they wait until I move to France and then they all start again...great though.

My knitting needles pale into insignificance with knives and axes so I may well take a chance. If I am stopped by a little Hitler, as quoted by Will ,I will say the LF forum said it was OK. so take it up with them.

Oh My..It is the image of my little cat that I left with my son when we came here to live as she was more his cat than mine as he always let her sleep in his bedroom before he left home and she was the first one he spoke to when he visited us. She was 13 yrs then and I would have brought her with us but we had to live for three weeks in our caravan prior to sailing and then into rented accommodation. My son and his partner wanted her and she was with them for quite a while before she passed away. She was so tiny and everyone thought she was a kitten and we called her Cepha ( C for Cat )

On one crossing coming back to France we were asked at UK ferry port if we had any swords in the car and the lady opened the car door to check.

Check Ryanair as we did yesterday and Poitiers to Birmingham was ...2 euros RETURN per person and no taxes. Have not checked it today and it was no good for us as we need to go to Bristol for the West Country.

We all know what can and cannot be taken onboard flights but does anyone know of any restrictions on ferries. I always have to do the Roscoff to Plymouth crossing which is one of the long ones and although I am armed with a book I wondered if there were any restrictions on things like knitting, sewing and other things similar. I have tried the website of the ferry company but cannot glean any info there. I would hate to end up being thrown overboard if caught doing something against their policies

That is my ex army son's answer to every problem we have ever had. I have never taken him up on it though. Fight for your cat and as you pointed out..plenty of kittens needing homes.

I was sat in my kitchen waiting for the switch to be thrown. I was dying to go to the toilet for a tinkle but thought to myself No way am I ending my days being flushed down the loo and also I had not finished my cuppa either. They could have done it a lot later in the day when I had showered and I could have put some slap on as well just in case I was goiing somewhere.

Two ladies having coffee together, one woman said that it was her birthday and she would probaby get the usual roses.
The other woman said that would be nice so what is the problem
First woman said it would mean she would have to lie on her back with her legs in the air for ages
Second woman said " why...don't you have a vase "

I live in dept. 79 close to Lezay and I was wondering if there were any classes for dance/exercise within a 10 k radious. The one I was starting this month has now closed. Do not mind if it is in French or English as I will muddle through somehow.
