Hi, £5000 pounds is a pretty low budget for a campervan (camping cars in France) to get one of the big coach built vans so you may need to look at a smaller van based camper with a free standing awning, maybe a VW. Or Take a look here on Ebay, a few LHD too, good luck.http://motors.search.ebay.co.uk/lhd_Campers-Caravans-Motorhomes_W0QQfromZR34QQsacatZ121904regardsPearly

If you had done a serach you would have found this http://www.completefrance.com/cs/forums/987087/ShowPost.aspx
It looks like it will not be doing much for some time. Not sure what you mean by "which airports it will serve".
He obviously means "which airports will it serve" at the moment the info is sparse but the web site did say that a low cost airline will offer two flights a day to London so I guess that will mean Stansted, there is also mention of some internal flights possibly by Air France. as has been written elsewhere the work seems to have slowed almost to a halt at the time of writing, promises that it would be in use by summer 2007 have proved false, roll on 2008.regardsPearly -
I really do hope that some of your English guests are members of this forum and get to read your comments about them, you must be such a gracious host.[+o(]regardsPearly

You got the book of recipes ok Pearly? let me know what you think.
Remember to remove the squeak too.
Thanks Wooly, I have the book and I am now onto more adventurous recipes, I will be out shopping today for a large pan for the cow, if things get deperate then I will give Dan a call. By the way do you have a copy of the 'Composting Toilets for Parrots' book as I am having terrible trouble getting them (the Parrots) to flush.regardsPearly -
I have some friends have second, third and fourth homes in the Ardenne. None of the income is declared and when questioned they just move on.regardsPearly

I find that it improves the flavour if the fur is removed first, oh and any little cute little ribbons or bows.regardsPearly

I am currently selling my property with IFP (internet french property). It is a pretty good site and the advert cost 117 euros for 12 months with up to 10 pictures. In 3 weeks I have had 148 views, 3 enquiries and 2 visits which is a lot better than some of the estate agents! Also without agents fees you can sell it cheaper and appeal to more people! Once you have had an offer I assume you approach your notaire and take it from there. It might be wise to speak to your notaire first and find out exactly what to do (something I should do too!!) Good luck!
Something maybe you should have done before advertising and getting 148 views, did you tell the viewers that you hadn't a clue what you were doing? Just a thought.[;-)]regardsPearly -

I found that the best way to get away from my X wife was to make sure she could never find me by burying her in the woods up the road from our old house, so far it has worked a treat.[:D]regardsPearly

That's a good one Frenchie, have to admit to having never heard of them before so big thanks[:D] Have a look at the next two videos, the first one is 'The Lotus Eaters' from 1984, the second is the lead singer/songwriter from the Lotus Eaters now, you may also want to visit his site, I think he now lives down near Toulouse....enjoy[:)]http://youtube.com/watch?v=52wuwbJGC_chttp://youtube.com/watch?v=S24k_BjYEJ4http://www.petercoyle.com/it is well worth reading his story since 1984.regardsPearly

This sounds like a real winner, it is impossible to get a good curry round this area. It would mean that breeders would need to try and breed some that don't look quite so cute.regardsPearly

Neither am I your 'mate' You should maybe change your username to dipstick, it somehow fits you much better. This started with just a throwaway line. Gluestick, when you say that you are leaving a thread please just go!regardsPearly

I had thought that your statement 'Expressing all life's experiences by pap musak is like a sort of downmarket Nick Hornby novel!' I was mistaken. You need to lighten up a bit Gluestick, and by the way I am not your 'dear' nor will I ever be. It is very strange how passionate you become over PdF.[;-)]regardsPearly

Spelling mistakes aside I still think that you would be better off renting out GITS, a quick ad on this forum and you will find plenty[;-)]regardsPearly

At the moment for a debt collection agency to come to France after the debt requires an EEO (European Enforcment Order) to obtain one the company needs to have served notice of a CCJ (County Court Judgment) on the debtor at his/her address in the UK, so no CCJ no EEO, but things are changing![;-)]regardsPearly

The cheque d'emploi system will benefit you if you are a French taxpayer as the payments can be offset against your personal tax, if a registered gardener charges you €30.00 per hour for garden maintainance then you would benefit by the lower cost to someone on the cheque d'emploi system. I would imagine that the price of €30.00 would be for specialist gardening requiring greater knowledge than that need for just cutting the grass. I would also imagine that when you are actually at the house you would want to 'do' the garden yourselves, so kitting yourselves out with something like a ride-on mower will be for your own benefit. With someone looking after the garden for you on cheque d'emploi you will also be able to get him/her to act as guardian during the winter months, popping in on a regular basis to do a security check and winter storm damage check would be very useful for you and it is a job that I don't think the 'paysagite' companies would want to do.IMHO. When looking for someone for the work please do not forget that because he/she speaks the same language as you it means that you can trust them, ask around the area and take some recommendations. Good luck.[:)]regardsPearly
