As with nomoss, I can't remember the last time I saw a 'live' cursor awaiting my action at the begining of the blank message reply box. A click of the left button, hit the keys and away you go. Try it.
Simply ego. We all have it, or just about.driving and also ie love making, who would say that they are rubbish at it. Few say that they are rubbish drivers and those that do, and I know some, tend to hang up their licence and not drive any more.
Is this what you mean?I wonder how they rate their performance in either of the disciplines.

The economy finished 2017 up, all be it on the back of a eurozone improvement and a general worldwide growth there was internal growth. Added to the mix must be the ousting of Hollande, after burying the Corrèze and then France. The Macron effect can now be seen to be having an impact, of sorts, on the overall economic improvement.

I was fortunate to eek out €1.1458 from CurrencyFair last Thursday with only €3 charge. By Friday it had dived back down €1.13 ranges.
I just wonder how "expats" can be considered to be "contributing to the economy" of an area if they're largely retirees causing an increasing burden on healthcare and whilst their main contribution to the economy is spending a few quid occasionally in the local pizzeria and buying a baguette or three. They're not contributing a whole lot to society in their chosen place of residence.
Hmm, are you not confusing the poolside, wine swigging part-time idlers with full-time involved retired residentsI? I assume the statement was a 'blague' for the benefit of we immigrants. I don't know where you hang your hat in France or what sort of company you keep but the immigrants I know and associate with have, over the years, pumped millions in to the French economy by way of taxation, investment and purchasing. As we are legally resident in France we are entitled to expect and receive the same standard of health care as the indigenous population and let those in charge ie. politicians sort out the finances of the present system.

As said they blew up after a short period of use.
You obviously enjoy your tele. I tend to do the majority of my tele viewing from t'internet via my laptop and headphones (ie. not deaf, but with todays slimline tvs, the poor diction of so many and 25 years of standing in front of a 1000 watt Marshall stack I do struggle with certain tone levels.) However, as we are having major refurb works carried out I thought it was a good opportunity to install media wiring for whom ever lives here after us.

Thanks for the response and positive comments.
I then decided it would be better and cheaper to go from a 4 to an 8 port lnb - best decision I ever made regarding electrical and electronic goods.
By the way, I'd be interested to know what sort of kit you are running off an 'octuple' lnb.
Hi Caj I have a Humax box in the UK and I have had no problems with it and would not hesitate to buy another. You do need a twin lnb for the two inputs so that you can watch one chanel and record another.
Exactly. I'm expecting a rumble with my sparks, who has installed all the electrical/media conduit during our alterations, as he is saying for the set up we want we will need a splitter and I'm saying we won't except for french tv from an aerial.
I have an inverto twin lnb in the Perigord noir on the edge of the satalite footprint which feeds a Panasonic TV and it works very well.In my oplnion both good pieces of kit.
We are going for quad - 2 for a Humax HDR and 1 for our basic 15 year old Panasonic leaving one spare for possible use at a later date. Thanks again for your response and recommendation.
-
Thanks for the response and the heads up Sue re the terminal connectors, forewarned is forearmed so to speak.Inverto do appear to receive positve recs on a global scale. The only two negatives I've come across were where the LNB failed to work. I suspect the reason for that could have been that they bought themselves a Quattro when they required a Quad or vice versa. Both are totally different devices.Cheerscajal

We are looking to purchase another satellite receiver and quad lnb to power the new and our existing Panasonic receiver.I have narrowed the search to a Humax HDR 1100s box and an Inverto Silver Tech 0.2db Quad lnb.I would be interested to hear comments from anyone who has either of the above or is aware of their quality.Thanks.

Allow fanatics an audience and the masses in between are the ultimate sufferers. Of course all human behavior should be acceptable and respectful towards others but allow the few to dictate the terms of that behaviour to the many, then society overall will sufer. So yes-'Way to go Catherine, Ingrid and Catherine' and to the other 97 women who signed the letter.

Emmaus works well in the UK, well Dover actually!
Try as I may, I find it impossible to ever pronounce Emmaüs accurately enough for any French person to have any inklin as to what it is I'm saying.
Cajal...I've had an account with Metro Bank since just after they opened. Very useful, except that on my last half dozen visits to Lidl, I always get "carte muette" when I try to use it in their machines. Nowhere else, just Lidl...??
Ah Lidl, I hold a season ticket with them. No, have never suffered with the "carte muette" with Lidl. However have experienced the occasional hiccough with Carrefour filling station and shop. I always put it down to a time-out due to excessive card traffic on the system within Fr and UK
As I still go to France fairly often, I thought I would keep my account open anyway, and transfer a bit over to it every now and then to use for cash, shopping and expenses when there. I reckon that would be cheaper that using a UK bank card each time.
Open yourself a 'Metro Bank' account and you will not be subjected to non-sterling charges on cash withdrawls or purchases when using your card in Europe.
