  1. Christine,  all l ever wanted for César was to have a good end to his

life,  l just want him back. the reason l did not contact you straight

away is because l thought he was in our local area.  l contacted you

when l thought the search should be widend.  I contacted Ta patte sur

mon coeur straight away as l had adopted him off them  and not you,  l rang

the police the vets and SPA,  l have done everything l can think of.

  2. Hi Jan,

I have lost a black dog wearing a green collar but my dog is very old with white around his mouth and on his poors,  he also has very bad breath.  I just thought l would contact you just in case it was him.  I am in 23 Creuse.  César has been missing just over a week now and l am so worried for him.  My dog is tattooed and still has his ball balls so think it proberbly is not him.  But you never know

  3. My name is Rastus and l am a 2 yr old male Beauceron x Collie.  I am up to date with my Vaccinations and l have had my Rabies jab too and l am chipped as well.  My owners are moving back to the UK and they can not take me.  I am not much trouble as l live out side in the garden and the barn.  I do go indoors of an evening though as i like the fire.  My owners think l am gentil and submissive.  I love my morning walks and l am good in the car.  I also like children.  I would love a new family to live with and  I am a good boy.  I live in Department 23 in the Creuse region near Chenerailles or Aubusson.

If you would like to know more then please just ask.

I am posting this ad for a friend of mine as she isn't very good with computers.

  4. How sad but very true in so many cases with these poor dogs these poems touched my heart with the sad truth.  I have fostered an old dog and we have had him three weeks now.  He had been in a refuge for 8 yrs and not walked much and as a result he can't walk very well.  More people should adopt older dogs.  I love watching César have his freedom in the garden and l know he loves and trusts me now.  He is no trouble at all,  he is just a calm old chap that likes to plod about, sleep and enjoy a nice stroke and off course eat good food.    I wish l could have more dogs but three dogs is enough for me but l will foster again one day.

  5. Hi Christine,  We have had César for nearly a week now,  he is enjoying his freedom very much.  The weather has been so nice the door has been open so he can come and go as he pleases.  He has really wacked himself out sniffing about so when he is not in the garden he is sleeping.  He loves his after diner scraps this is his high light of the day.  I have posted some photo's taken of him yesterday so you can see my lovely old chap doing what he likes most.

  6. Hi Christine,

I'm Lisa the lady who had Hobo.  How is it going finding places for these poor dogs.  I have been watching your post since it was placed with interest but because l had Hobo l could not contact you but Hobo who is now homed and very happy and so are his new owners which leaves me free to foster again.

I love the look of either N° 30 he just looks lovely and l have a big house and big Garden waiting.

I also love the look of N° 33 he two looks so sweet and l am certain l could rehome one of these chaps.

    Bit about me

We are a big family 3 kids 2 dogs 1 cat a budgie and Gary the Hamster.  We have a acre of land large lake and lovely woods just at the end of our garden in a very rural setting.

I have alot of time and patience to give.  I'm not a pro with dogs but l have had a lot of experience.

I would like to foster one of these lads have him with us for abit to see what they are like and when l think they are ready find them a home that suits them.

Contact me if you need me

  7. Hi Anna,  It is great news and you will be glad to know l have stopped crying now.  Just hope that the girl dog does take to him but if not l have told them they can bring him back.  Hobo is only an hour away and they have said they will keep in contact with me to let me know how he is so yes l would love to see him again in his settled home and with katie as she is a beauty.  I'm so pleased for him and fingers crossed it all works.  He was one of them special dogs that don't come along that offten and he put my two to shame.

    He deserves this break

  8. Hi Mag,  I will help anyway l can,  l will foster again  as soon as l know Hobo is settled as l can't cope with more than three dogs and my two are demanding.  I don't have an inclosed garden but l have to watch my rufus anyway so any new dog would have the supervision and a bed food and a settee to lay on plus a family life till l find a new home but the dog would have to be good with kids and be able to put up with rufus and venus's ways.  If l had kennels l would take any dog but having a dog in your home sorry to be picky  would have to be homable and not have to many probs l have enough of them with my two.  We dont have any spare money for vets and stuff in fact we're skint but we have what we have and are willing to help.  With you knowing that i'm always here.  From now on l will always point people looking for a dog to this site.  I had two couples looking for a dog and was interested in Hobo but are not ready to take for a few months so l am going to email them tonight to let them know Hobo has gone but for them to concider Joy or one of the pups or one of the other dogs as there are plenty to choose from.

I will privite message you my email in case you need it and you can't get me on here

  9. Hi Mag,  Im happy for him but l must of got attached as l can't stop crying.  The couple who have adopted him might bring him back as their  dog does not like other dogs much but she just lost her sister and is lonely but l do have a good feeling about it.

just can't wait to hear how he is getting on.

Don't worry joy is next on my list.  I had an offer to put an add at an english shop near me for hobo but l am going to put one instead for Joy.  They said they have a steady stream of English in so you never know.

Shame we don't live nearer each other so we could get together,  Who knows maybe one day.

Don't worry this site does not get rid of me that easy and just want to say a big thanks to you you have  been great.

  10. Evening Anna,  Thanks for all you have done and you never know and you can only but try.  If you need any other photo's just ask l have loads.  I too am doing some flyers to hand out,  I thought about putting some in the super markets what do you think ?.  I have them in the local vets too but they have been there weeks with no inquiries at all.

Hope you have a good weekend

    Lisa

  11. Hi Anna,
Claire had three dogs to choose from and sadly she chose another dog but still at least there is a dog with a home.

Hobo has not been castrated and l am not sure at all off his medical history. All l know is he looks and seems very healthy. I have wormed him but l cannot afford much more.
Hobo is really a ready made dog with very few bad points, l am sure he had a very good home before and we have tried to find it on the net, the area we found him, vets and word of mouth but with no luck.
I think Hobo is a young male about 1 yr as his balls have not yet dropped, sorry to be blunt.
Cross English setter and maybe grey hound as he is faster than any of our dogs (German shepherd, Collie cross and the dog next door collie).
    He is very Clean indoors.
Good with dogs and cats but does like to play with my cat but she is a tease.
    No chewing.
    Very calm gentil and loving.
    Great with the kids.
Good in the car and on the lead but not perfect but still a pleasure to walk. We have been taking him out and he has handled many situations with no fear what so ever down to moto cross bikes passing us (Great)
Can be man handled with no fuss.
Not a fussy eater just complete which l feed my two from the super market. Loves after dinner scraps.
Very eager to please for a biscuit.
Goes into a trance when you stroke his ears he loves it.
He is very calm when people arrive not like my two.We do not have an enclosed garden and he has been known to sniff around the hamlet but he is so not a fret to man child or animal l have taught him to come when called. please don't worry about cars we are a dead end hamlet. Very Rural
Much better behaved than my too can l add.
I have notice in playing he grabs the tales on my dogs to slow them down but with no force.
Thats it pretty much a great dog.
This dog will make a great pet to someone. I would keep him myself but Rufus does not like him much he only likes girl dogs maybe l should rehome Rufus no sorry only joking we have had rufus since he was 3 days old, we bottle fed him the works all the rest of the litter got killed. I love him faults and all

I have some great pictures we took at the country park the other day really shows him off lovely. I want to redo his ad as l know alot more about him now. Just waiting for hubby to put them on my pc.

Hope all this helps sorry if l have gone on abit. If there is anything else you need to know just ask.

Hope your cold gets better soon and thank you once again for your help.

    Dog mad Lisa

  12. Hiya,  Your right about france having a massive effect on our lives.  We are not the people that left the uk.  After three years of living here we have made some true friends and have great neightbours.  My 13 yr old son has just came back from helping bernard who is 83 now but can l say seems much fitter than me cut and move a tree do l think he would of helped like that if we had been in England l very much doubt it.  My son also said the other day how he liked the fact that he knows everyone and everyone knows him,  it's just nice to be part of a community again.  We don't have much money but we are far richer now in other ways.
