Heard the dreaded running water yesterday and found one of the outside taps gushing. It wouldn't turn off so a dash to the stop-c ock followed by a quick dismantle and found the silly little rubber washer split. Found a new spare tap whilst searching for a washer so that got fitted.I'm guessing that this scenario is going to happen all over France.

I think you'll find that you are confusing the issue regarding caravans on your land. Restrictions only apply where occupancy is involved. A touring caravan simply parked on your property generally requires no planning permission. There may be variations where specific occupancy rules are in place (covenants etc)Static caravans are different, of course..
All politicians when elected should have a small, remotely-activated, explosive charge surgically implanted up their bottoms.
Bugsy .
In the case of Mandelson and probably a lot more (public school and all that) they would only get more pleasure from that sort of play, back to the drawing board!
I was thinking in terms of half a pound of C4 [:D][:D]. -
When I left school, many years ago, I firmly held the belief that 'British Politicians' were the noblest of them all and all the others in the world were corrupt and dishonest (indoctrination at its best ?)Now I'm old, of course, those views have changed completely.I have long had a plan to put it right though. All politicians when elected should have a small, remotely-activated, explosive charge surgically implanted up their bottoms. The population would all be issued with 'little red buttons' which they could press 'en masse' whenever lies, corruption etc, came to the fore. A ratio would have to be calculated, and agreed, but probably 60% would be ideal. So if 60% of the nation pressed at exactly the same time........................................... boom [:D][:D]Just think of the benefits, especially if the said politicians wore an 'activity monitor' that gave a constant readout of the current ratio being furiously pressed.Bugsy .

Bugs, do you wish you'd stayed in Barcelona?
Yes, but I suppose that if we had I'd only be worrying about the house [:D]. -
Got up this morning to a load of snow and then found the utility room flooded. The water was coming out of the washing machine due to the waste pipe outside being frozen. The water softener was merrily pumping water into the waste pipe and with nowhere to go it was back-filling the bloody washing machine.Lots of hot water and a bit of heat and I have finally got it running away, now all we have to do is get the humidifier in to dry the room out.Even worse our ordered supply of wood has not arrived for the third time of stated delivery and we are down to a couple of days supply. On with the central heating and watch the hyper-expensive oil disappear [:(]roll on spring [:D].

If you tow a caravan or drive a 'camping-car' and are in the market for a new Sat-Nav the Garmin Dezl 560LT is well worth a look. The unit allows input of vehicle and/or trailer dimensions and plans routes to avoid those narrow road/low bridge etc, situations. Like all units its not foolproof, but its not bad.I researched prices and found the current cheapest price from Darty. comes with their no-quibble 2 year guarantee as well.https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?pID=68620I looked at the Snooper range as well that comes pre-loaded with campsites etc but their software is 'Windows' only so no good for a 'Mac' user.http://www.snooperuk.com/.
