hi can anybody assist me with the great lutec hunt .i live near nontron and cannot find on the dear old web where i may obtain lutec plaster .we are surrounded by tout faire ,brico this and brico that .i suppose its a case of get in the car and LOOK! any help would be appreciated thanks john [:D]

i wonder if anyone can help ? our recently aquired fig tree has developed rust on the leaves is there a spray or something that i could apply to the tree to limit the damage?we have had loads of figs this summer and i don't want to lose it 45euroes !its definatly rust and not the dreaded ceratoelium fici .if i understand it correctly its a root desease .thanks for any guidance john.

[8-)]hi zeb .you sound like a knowledgable sort of person .i am looking for an answear to my do it yourself plafond .its a bit undulating .and from the response i am getting to my plight for a plasterer in the nw dordogne area i am going to have to give it a go myself .i can do extensions, wiring, plumbing etc but i am a plaster disaster .this lutec l stuff i have heard of before and is it possible to use it like pollyfilla enduit sort of thing? and could i fill and sand with it? thanks for any help john ps ihave to add the ceiling at the moment is just bare plasterboard thanks.

ah fooled ya .its the old fosse theme again .this morning whilst looking for a place to plant my latest aquisition from jardiland ,my fork hit something solid just 9inches beneath the turf in the back garden .dug down with a trowel gingerly only to find yippee the fosse tout eaux in all its glory .this girt concrete lump is only 3mtrs from the house ?never mind at least i now know what we have complete with label stating volumn,date de fabrication,too much info?i am just a little supprised at the lack of depth ,and no covering for the plastic outlet pipe.so its up to the loft to find ,or not the famous vent pipe?well the fouine had to get into the toilet from somewhere ?[:D]so its beware where ye dig.

hello can someone point me in the right direction for a list of tariffs,internet ,phone etc with france telecom wanadoo .having a spot of bother with the telecom site in uk.or can i just use the english helpline to set up internet ?many thanks john

hi .i have tinnitus caused by sitting in front of a loud trombone section in the band i used to play in .or is it tinnitus ? i have had umpteen hearing tests and they have discovered that i have hyperacusis in fact my hearing is as good as a ten year old child i have been told .no loss of the mid range frequencies either i put this down to lots of ginkyo biloba, it doesn't help with spelling though!i i have learnt to live with hyperacusis and beaten it by over a period of time gradually putting up with louder noises it has taken 6 months my tolerance levels are much better.as far as tinnitus is concerned i think that i have a blocked eustacion tube which is causing this HUM in my right ear .if i use beclometasone aquious spray i am able to get a good nights sleep so there,s a thought? john[:D]

thanks danny .we will have to go into the different packages on offer .ie with television ,and telephone ,and broadband.does anyone use 0044uk telecom by the way?internet will be very occasional user ,tv we switch on only evenings .so its mainly telephone .i would expect that france telecom would lower there tarrifs soon as they are losing so much custom to call diverting companies ?thanks wendy

hi .what is cheapest internet dailup isp .we are both old codgers and semi computer literate.and would use the internet soley for help with things like ,tax questions etc.we are going to live in the north west dordogne .we have just had a telephone installed and may consider 0044s offer of cheap rates .or do we need to beware of this setup any help appreciated wendy.

hi .i have room of approx 20ft by 10ft .floor to ceiling 2.6 meters .can anybody give me a rough figure on how much it would cost to plaster including the ceiling? walls and ceiling placoplatre. many thanks for any information john

thanks susie no problem .i have loads of trees to sort out and things to build and unfortunately i have inherited my mothers art of falling over things that exist ,also things that don,t exist!my grandson has also inherited this trait ,and thinks its the norm .and sometimes his recovery from "a trip,is almost of olympic standard!many thanks john

thanks.i have just ordered 2 new epipens from the doctors surgery.in fact now that you mention it i remember the doctors comments after he prescribed epipens.he said "and i hope that you never have to use them " and the wasps, i think they are ok as long as you are not threatening there queen ,but they don,t tell you where the queen is!thanks for the info john

hi hoverfrog .i am allergic to wasp stings ,epipen etc.we had 2 hornets nests. i in a disused chimney ,the other on a window corner.we cleared away the nests last summer and to date no evidence of them returning apart from the odd one or two trying to get through a closed window pane!although i have gone through anaphylactic shock once ,i wonder if i have built up some immunity over time?and would a hornet sting give the same adrenilin rush ?keep well away i think .do they in france have an organisatoin like medic alert? john
