  1. We are thinking of moving to France but our son has just been diagnosed with Angelman Syndrome, he will need medical support such as physio, occupational and speech therapy and will need to go to a special needs school for learning difficulties.  Does anyone have any advice they could give us, ie. do you think we are mad to contemplate it, our knowledge of french is not good!

Are there anyother families out there who have children with this syndrome in France?

  2. Planning on moving out near to Limoges in January at 5 months pregnant and it is worrying me about giving birth with very little french language at the moment, can anyone let me know their experiences good & bad.  Should I wait and move there after the birth?

  3. Thanks for your feedback, I'm glad to hear positive things about Limoges, most agents slag it off for being too wet and damp and out of the hub.  We are coming to visit the area more soon so will be looking at gite properties for sale, I agree having people in your house day and night will soon start to grate, at least gites is only one day a week to work....

  4. Thanks guy and gals for your comments, definately food for thought!

We don't have a mortgage and would prefer to swop our 3 bed house in the UK for something nicer with a better quality of life (ie. seeing each other during the day) therefore running gites would be something to keep our brains going and to help us pay the running costs.  So it sounds as if this would be perfect for us.  I am new to this forum and can see I will learn alot from all your experience!  Next step find an area that would suit us & the business - off to search the web again!
