I have a bit of land that needs clearing. Its about an acre mainly laid to grass, but has a lot of Brambles and other rough shrubs, the grass has been cut (took ages!) Would anyone be willing to lend me a few goats for a couple of weeks.  I will look after them for you with your advice. We are moving down on Monday to Senaillac Lauzes. We would like to get a Cat ASAP. Does anyone know if there is an animal rescue centre in Cahor or Figeac, that we could go to. By the way if you buy a tax free car in Germany register it in the UK and then export to France you PAY THE VAT. The agreement is only between Germany and UK. I checked with Customs and Excise, they will be informed in Germany if it leaves the UK after registration(I think within 6 months) This is why we have not brought a new one. Back to my origional question our car is an old left hand drive, first registered in Germany, Now BFG.... What problems have people encountered trying to register in France. It will not be registered in the UK, we are going straight to France from Germany. Thanks

Just to let you know that I recently cancelled my Sky membership. I confirmed with Sky that I would still recieve the Free View Chanels, they confirmed Yes, until they next had to re-issue all the sky cards (not until 2005)Card is still in Box. So I now pay nothing for BBC1,2,3,4, ITV, Channel Four, Channel Five and a shed load of other stuff, Not to mention all the Fab digital Radio channels as well, this includes all the BBC Radio too, plus a lot of the London Stations, my Fav Jazz FM. Could any of you well informed people tell me the correct procedure, for Registering your children for the local school. I thought it was just a matter of registering with the local mayor and the school. Its just today I have read a newspaper article, which says I need to get a Carte Vitale. Any advice would be appreciated. Jan
