  1. Still having trouble getting to grips with electricity thing.  If the site gives us 6 amps and i plug in my standard hairdryer that i use at home will there be enough power to it? our cable has an english socket on 'our ' end and we have a protecter unit RCD, would it be advisable to purchase a travel dryer with dual voltage? we are going to stay on a Kwan village site , either la Ferme des Aulnes or le val d;Authie in the Picardie region. i would welcome any comments on either, thanks.

  8. Hi does anyone know of a nice B & B in or very close to the town. We are returning from our holidays and wish to spend the night here and be able to look around the town the following day. usually we just go straight to the speed ferries terminal and always have the feeling that we have missed out on seeing what Boulogne has to offer. I 'm not keen on the chain hotels, prefering a more relaxed french style of accomadation. Have looked at several web sites as yet nothing fits the bill.
  9. Renting a house:This sounds like a great idea and one i'm beginning to think is the only safe way to go and live the dream, well for half a year at a time anyway. as im sure there are more rules a regs.as to how long you can stay before being considered a resident.Reckon i'll apply for  jobs as a housesitter/handy women/gardener!! Actually thats a great idea does anyone know of a job like this thats available?[:)]

  12. Hi, can anyone recommend a web site that lists flea markets etc. so we can plan our next holiday around one. So many are shown on t.v here , but actually finding the details so we know where to visit is proving very difficult. We will be in the area around St. Lo in 3 weeks time and if anyone can suggest a flea market or attic sale in this area it would be great. we were very fortunate that when we visited the Loire area a few years ago our hosts recommended a Apple festival that included an attic sale, needless to say we spent a very enjoyable morning browsing the stalls and sampling the local and freshly squezed apple juice. We haven't  found anything quite as good since.[:)]
  13. [8-)]Iam sure similar questions like this have been asked........ I am married to my current husband we have no children. i have 2 children from a previous marriage, he has none. in England it is our intention to leave each other the right to reside in our property, which is jointly owned. On the death of the remaining partner the property will be divided half to my children the other half to my husbands nieces. However we both would love to move to France and it would be our intention to buy jointly there, but what will happen when one of us dies? I am beginning to have serious doubts about fufilling our dream. Can anyone offer a solution?
