Is the exterior plaster on most french houses crepi? It seems to give a beautiful finish. I'm not sure hiow it is applied, someone told me the first coat is blown on with a machine and then floated off level with a long straightedge.The second coat being applied next day and then float finished .Is the above the correct method please?

Yea, I know exactly where you are coming from. Most of my prezzies seem to consist of cookbooks as well.but better than the traditional hanky or socks. I also have several dozen cookery publications plus the ripped out recipe pages from waiting room mags .but I always seem to come back to a ten year old copy of Delia Smiths Complete illustrated cookery course. No nonsense, straight forward, the high priestess of the culinary world.

Does anyone know of a Mac engineer or Mac savvy person in the Vendee, Dept 85, Lucon area? I am having big time probs with getting a broadband connection on my iMac altho the windozze laptop is ok.
