Hi.  For a few weeks I have been having a problem with pops-ups appearing when I'm online.  They are huge, brightly coloured full screen ads which come up in their own window.  They are in French and advertise anything from Lotto to cheap travel.  I've run Ccleaner and my anti-virus but they keep coming up, sometimes as many as three or four windows.  Any suggestions? Thanks for all your suggestions!  The tracks are quite small and look more insect like than animal. Hi.  When Orange introduced a spam filter some months ago my spam disappeared overnight.  However suddenly it's all back again, it's like the filter has been switched off!  Has anyone else noticed the same thing?

Hi.  Since Wanadoo changed over to Orange I have had a few niggely problems with my computer. Like for instance when I receive an email with a link to a website on it. If I click on it it just brings up the Orange front page and not the website of the link I have clicked on.  I never had this problem before and I wondered if I should I reconfigure something?  Also when Orange introduced their new Spam filter some months ago my Spam emails disapeared overnight.  However I am now finding that they are gradually creeping back in again - has anyone else noticed this?  Many thanks.

Hi.  We are putting in a new kitchen and what I would like is a double oven in a larder unit - a normal family sized one and a smaller one for the odd tray of buns or roast spuds.  However we have not seen what I'm looking for in any of the brochures so far.  I have seen a tower unit with an oven and a microwave but not two ovens.  Wicks back in the UK do what I have in mind but we would prefer to source one here.  Any suggestions anyone?  Thanks. Hi.  I have bought a USB stick because I want to back up my photos.  I have plugged it into the computer and it has been recognised as 'removable disc F'  However I'm not sure what to do next!  [8-)]  Do I need any special software?  If anyone can guide me through the transfer process that would be great  [:)]

Many thanks but that is the link I used to un-install in the first place!  I now have AVG which I like.  However the computer still seems slow and I suspect it could be the remnants of Norton.

Hi.  Has anyone come across night storage heaters in France?   Our memories of these are huge things filled with bricks taking up half a wall and really expensive to run.  Apparently  they are now vastly improved with all the latest technology and quite cheap to run using off peak electricity.  We would only want background heat off these as we have woodburners.  If anyone has come across them, are they efficient, where can you buy them here and what is the French name for them?  Thanks.

Hi. I have recently de-installed Norton as it was really slowing down my computer.  I used the Norton removal tool as I'd heard that Norton was very difficult to get rid of.  However the compter is still a bit 'sticky' so I did a search using the words Norton and Symantec.  This shows that I am still holding Norton files, but when I try to delete them a message comes up - 'cannot read from source file or disc, unable to delete'.  Any ideas anyone?

Thanks for the input.  I've also noticed that not all my emails have the paper clip, the messages from my daughter for example.  However I know that she has AVG installed so maybe it's just non AVG emails that get the paper clip treatment.

I have just de-installed Norton Anti virus as it was giving me so many problems. I am now using the free version of AVG which seems great.  The only thing is I now notice that all my emails are coming in with the paperclip icon on the left hand side of the screen.  This usually indicates the email has an attachment.  Is this normal with AVG and why is it indicating an attachment when there isn't any?

Thanks for the advice.  My computer is an LG 702S, bought in France.  I have been online and looked at AVG and it looks very good.  The only negative comment I've picked up is that the latest version 7 is not as good as the preceeding one.  If I were to download this should I de-install Norton first?
