  1. LAST EDITED ON 20-May-04 AT 08:51 PM (BST) Yes, you can swap it into another car, just pass a thin bladed knife between the windscreen and the telepeage holder to cut through the double sided tape and re-fix to new car using new tape. I often change mine between two vehicles. Black d/s tape looks better from the outside. There isn't any need to re-register.
  2. If it is Britline they mail mine to my Uk address, same with cheque books. They have to be signed for with the postie.
  3. I have tried most routes and the one I find best but not shortest is all autoroute. Calais-Reims-Troyes- Dijon- Lyon -Montpellier-Carcassonne. I know that others have their preferred routes but I use this one 6 times per year. If you do a search you will find that this was discussed fairly recently.
  4. I do not live there but if you do a Google search on "inondation+aude" there is a lot of info. One such page is: http://www.languedoc-roussillon.environnement.gouv.fr/risques/zi/aude/page-commune/11307.htm This details the risks by commune alphabetically. Raissac d'Aude does feature with a detailed map. Not all of the automatic translation from French to English works, so it is best to stay with the French version.
  5. You can either take it to your local dechetterie (sp?) or ask at the Mairie as most communities have collections from the pavement outside your house periodically.
  6. I have tried many routes but the one I favour, not necessarily the shortest is: Calais-Reims-Dijon-Lyon-Montpellier-Carcassonne. This is totally autoroute and the cost in December was 77.80 Euro each way. I am sure that others will tell you of their favourite routes!
  7. Try Conforama at Salvelas, Carcassonne (near the airport). I purchased most of my electrical goods here and because my house is on a very narrow, very busy road, they delivered early a.m. before the rush hour. I am 45 minutes south of Carcassonne. BUT is in the same area if you wished to do price comparisons, Conforama do provide internet shopping.
  8. Any DVD player will work in France provided it is Region 2 or Multi region. An English TV will work in France with DVD, Sky box, VCR etc provided the SCART sockets are used. An English TV will not receive French broadcasts. A French TV will support all the above boxes via SCART connection.
