I am trying to re-glaze some old windows and I have now purchased 3 different types of 'putty' none of which will harden. Even after a week it remains very soft to the touch and offers little or no support to the glass. Has anyone experienced this problem and if so could you advise me what glazing product I should be looking for

My wife and I have recently moved to the Charente Maritime (between Pons and Jonzac). We are anxious to integrate and also to meet some other expats in the area. Could anyone tell us of any groups which meet up and with whom we may perhaps become involved

In the next couple of months or so we will start spending much more time at our house in France. We currently have 2 UK cars which we will bring over with us in the short term although I plan to purchase a French vehicle in due course. Could anyone point me in the direction of a UK insurer who will provide unlimited cover for my UK vehicles whilst in France. My present insurers both have limits of a few weeks at a time for the green card. This has been OK until now.  Thanks Martin

We will at last be moving over to our house in the Charente Maritime (near to Pons / Jonzac) in the next couple of months and I wonder if anyone could recomend a good installer for A fixed TV aerial for French TV. We will be buying a new French TV A satellite instalation split across our lounge and day room. Hopefully the same installer who will also make sure the system is set up and working also A computer literate person who could assist with the instalation of ADSL and the set up of my computers Thanks Martin
