  1. We used SpeedFerries on our recent visit to France and arrived in Boulogne for the first time for us. We thought we could safely do as we usually do when arriving via Calais and fill up with petrol at the first service staion on the autoroute. However, it was quite some distance before we came to a depannage/ carburants sign at the Le Touquet exit. Unfortunately it wasn't working so we headed on towards Le Touquet, along with two other motorists in the same situation, very low on petrol and found ourselves in a long queue of slow-moving holiday traffic heading for Le Touquet. The first garage we came to was shut - annual holidays! By this time our nerves were jangling. We eventually found somewhere but we didn't want to get involved in the traffic again so headed back in the direction of Boulogne until we could get back on to the autoroute. The warning is that if you are low on petrol on arrival in Boulogne, fill up there.
  2. We will be using SpeedFerries for the first time next week and I seem to remember that some people had difficulty finding their berth in Dover. Could someone please direct us, say perhaps in relation to the P&O berths. Thank you.
  3. We have been P&O Stockholders since 2002 and have saved on crossings since them. However, we have decided to give Speed Ferries a whirl and have booked our next two crossings with them - 65 and 50 respectively - much cheaper than any discounted fares with P&O Elaine

  5. Congratulations on achieving your holiday cottage and here's wishing you many happy visits Elaine
