Many thanks to those who have taken the time to look at my posting. It would seem that the 'motorail' is a 'no-no' as not many people have given their experience of this. I take it that it is little used these days. Thank you anyway,   Ann

Thanks Russethouse,   I have looked at those posts but as they were from April  08 I wondered if anyone actually used the Motorail after this and what their thoughts were?

Hoping to travel to Italy again in September. Was thinking of using the French Motorail from Calais to Nice and then driving on to Tuscany Has anyone any thoughts or experiences on the motorail that they could share with us, is it safe these days, what are the compartments like etc Any information would be very helpful.   Thankyou, Ann    

How many of these vouchers can you use per crossing please? Is there some kind of limit?

Trying to arrange Car Breakdown and personal Health Insurance.Twice in the past year we have gone with Rescue France Direct, today we are unable to contact them by phone or Email. Does anyone know if they have gone out of business or not? If they have,who do you recommend? Have got a quote from a few including Europ Assistance, Eurorescue and VehicleRescueDirect Norwich.   Who would you recommend, bearing in mind the cost etc.? We are AA members but find they are far too expensive.?   Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Ann
