I am doing some research on people who have bought vineyards and produce wine.Has it been a success or failure as far as lifestyle and making a living?Is it something that you would recommend to others or strongly advise against.Undoubtedly,it is hard work but have people made a success of it?

[relocating to Ile de France]

We have relocated to the Gers,but are now relocating to Paris.However,the most impossible thing to do in Paris is to get a house to rent if you are English and do not have 30 years of French tax returns!We have offered to pay agents a years rent in advance,but still can't convince them of our worthiness.Perhaps unless you are posted to Paris from another country it is impossible to rent there and therefore no one moves there!

I have nearly got my head around the French system, but can someone give me the definitive answer.I am know studying for my permis and if the French holds up I hope to pass.Can I legally keep a shotgun in France before obtaining a permis de chasser?Is it just a case of notifying the local gendarmarie.Is wanting to shoot ball trap before passing the exam a sufficent reason to own a shot gun in France.Does this all depend on different dept.My neighbour does not hunt but keeps a small arsenal above his fireplace,which contradicts what other hunters have told me.

Is it possible to buy a cheap French VCR to receive the French TV Signal and then play it through a UK TV?Is a French TV Licence required for a permanant residence and/or holiday home?
