Just for info: on our last three visits to the U.K. we have tried to arrange for my husband to have a sebaceous cyst removed from his head - a minor op. normally done at our G.P.s surgery. Impossible, either not enough notice, no nurse available, etc, etc.
On Monday I made him an appointment with our local dermatologist in Ste Maxime, on Wednesday he had his little op. (on a now very much larger cyst), cost of 260FF. We can clain 70% of this back but would have been happy to pay anyway just for the speed and lack of fuss.

This is a fairly common method of construction here. My husband (who has worked in the building trade for 40 years) advises that you should, wherever possible, create cross airflows in the basement, i.e. using air bricks or ventilation of whatever kind you can accommodate and if possible install some sort of extraction system. It may also be advisable to have a look around the outside of the building to make sure that there is free passage of water (rain) and no build up of debris. Most certainly you must remove and take as far away as possible the covering which has been put on which is of no help whatsoever. Fresh air is the best solution of all. We live and work in the Var so please feel free to contact us if you need any more help.

However, for HRT I have found my French doctor much better at prescribing for my exact needs by blood tests, etc, rather than giving me a standard off-the-shelf pill.
