I am sure that someone knows why this thread is in a section "for France and all things French" but it sure aren't I.
As I am currently in Suffolk I ought to care but what will be, will be.

As with everything else in life - if in doubt, don't.

I am curious as to why you hadn't got travel insurance, I would never believe an EHIC to be enough, or a CEAM to be enough either whilst travelling, I don't want the bills, so I buy insurance.
EHIC is free - you have to pay for insurance or in this case, pay for not having it.

At least Honda didn't lie.

As usual a decision taken with not a care for the paying spectators. A very cold evening had been forecast for days yet wait until almost the last minute before calling off the match and naturally tell the tv peeps before informing those in the stadium.

But there is a major downside - imagine having to work with the type of person found in the English football squad (some of whom are from Liverpool, Manchester or equally awful places) on a regular basis. Worse still having to meet them socially in the company of their pneumatic, scantily clad women.
He should never have been manager. Should be an Englishman who leads England. Glad he's gone and it just shows the sort of man he is for supporting scumbag Terry.
I support Capello in both his decisions. If the FA wanted to strip Terry why wait til now? The playground spat happened in October. I have not read/heard the Italian interview but suspect that the interfering FA made their decision and allowed Capello to learn of it from the press announcement.
Not that the captain does anything anyway - there are no decisions to make and if there were the goalpost is probably more articulate.
As for the next manager - firstly try to find an Englishman who has actually won anything and from that list of not many select one who will stand up to both a bumbling FA and "player power". Sir Alf was alleged to be autocratic and as he is the only manager to have lead the English team to win anything that must be the correct way.

I just cannot imagine being told that I had HIV or Syphillis at my age or older, one probably treatable the other, well, what do you tell the family?
Unless you practice incest why do you need to tell them anything?

To take a boiler over is absolute folly and if fitted would undoubtedly invalidate house insurance if anything should happen.
But think how much you'd save plus the benefit of telling all your cronies in the Dog & Duck how clever you are.

I hope for CH's sake that he is not up before Mr Justice Caulfield, famous for his describing Mrs Archer as a vision of "elegance, fragrance and radiance".
Perverting the course of justice is a serious crime, isn't it ?
Not when it just concerns driving points for speeding IMHO.
I wonder how many of us have done the same thing as CH - or would to avoid the ban.
As the famous myth may have said - let him that is without sin etc etc

The voters of Walsall (?) found it very difficult to get rid of John Stonehouse after his Reggie Perrin episode so I will not hold my breath waiting for a by-election.
Had I done what CH is alleged to have done I hope I would have tried harder to keep wifey sweet.
One wonders if the police would have wasted so much time if he were not an Em Pee. But I would prefer to see the more serious crimes investigated first every time.
If you haven't been there before then Saint-Cirq Lapopie and Rocamadour should be on your itinerary, neither are very wheelchair friendly though if you need that.
Maybe catch you this time around [;-)]
Nor very friendly if you are on 1 or 2 sticks or generally unsound on the pins.
But then most people are reasonably mobile and the French seem to cater for the majority.

We had an inch or so of snow last weekend and most of it is still here. Meteo predicts that temp will go no higher than 0 until Thursday afternoon. Overnight temps not too bad, -10 for past couple of nights and likely to stay that way for a while. Lowest in recent years alleged to have been -17 in 2002/2003.
Worst part is frosts in England mean no proper horse racing to watch, only ferrets running on beaches.
Good luck to all and remember to keep delicate bits well wrapped up.

I use gmail as it is easy to access from wherever, whenever. It works on IE on a new Tosh but Di suspects that you may need Chrome if yr puter is getting on a bit.
Google reading my e-mails does not bother me, there is nothing in them of interest to most.
For those of you of a paranoid persuasion I suggest that you abandon the modern fashion of disclosing all at every possible opportunity and remember the old slogan "loose lips drop you in the ****".

Insurance, when not a legal rquirement, is only necessary for us mere mortals without sufficient resources to cover an expensive catastrophe.

Angel, the solution is simple. Select one of the cars to be exclusively yours, retrieve all keys held by others and never part with any of them. Thus fuel levels are controlled by you.

The following info is accurate in that it answers your question but may be useless for other reasons.
This afternoon I saw a V-shaped memory foam pillow in Dunelm in Bury St Edmunds. Price about £35.
