  1. Hi,

Does anyone know if Consuel are interested in the following.

Speaker cables and wall plates, alarm cables. Internet cables and wall plates.

The 12v cables which run from a central vacuum system. This is plugged into a wall socket but 12v cables run to wall plates which when the vacuum hose is inserted turns the vacuum on.

I am on the first fixed stage all the electrical wiring is in, meter etc. ERDF have done their bit.

I have all the above ready for installation and wish to run the wires in the walls/floor (in gaine ) before the plasterboard goes up. But am I unsure if any of the above is part of the inspection.

    Thankyou

  2. Thankyou Spyder, I will make a note of that number. I received an email late yesterday with a letter attatched. This letter instructed me to ring a mobile phone number if I run into further difficulties contacting them. Once I contact them on this number they will then get someone to ring me back.

No reply to my query with them though.

Im going to email them back and say i am not ringing a mobile number in the UK from France and an email answering any one of the four emails I sent will suffice.

If no result from that then Ryan will get an ear bashing

  3. 4 emails to mycsp ..no reply, not even acknowledged

6 phone calls only to get cut of each time.

I then copied in the Cabinet Office, same as Spyder. They made calls on my behalf. Cabinet Office said I will get an email from mycsp within 24hrs. That was Tuesday and still no reply.

The phone number on the website to ring from abroad, is no longer in service. They give you a 0300 number to ring, which when you do get through, you listen to music, messages and options and before speaking to someone you get cut off.
  4. Hi, as a disabled person in the ESA support group, my E121 now the S1 is marked 'invalid'.Issued by DWP Newcastle International Pension Centre Medical Benefits. This was presented to CPAM who issued me a carte vitale 'regimer exempt'. With this you get 100% cover, except blue lable medicines and the 50cents on each box of medicine. Which is the same cover as a disabled French person under retirement age who is unable to work. Your partner may be able to piggy back your carte vitale but they only get the normal 70% cover. 100% for any ALDs via your french Doctor and top up insurance if required.

One thing to bear in mind the DWP do still call you for medicals, carried out by CPAM on behalf of the DWP. So the S1 entitlement can be withdrawn.

You need to speak to the Medical Benefits team at Newcastle to check your entitlements.

    Hope this helps.

  5. Pickfords i beleive move personal effects, i.e your house contents. There would be no duty or vat on these provided you have owned them and used them for a set period of time.

Customs examine Personal effects those clearing at port and those for Customs clearance inland both for prohibitions and restrictions and trying to evade any duties.

The fine plus the duty and vat would normaly make the total cost not worth it. You either pay up or the goods are destroyed.

Back to subject, has France a direct trade route with America. I would of thought not.

Speak to a UK shipping agent. Import the goods to the UK and Customs clear there, they then would be in free circulation where the shipping agent can then tranship the goods across the channel. There would be no french Customs formalities as the manifest from the uk will state free circulation.

However the French still have a right to examine for prohibitions and restrictions relevant to them

  6. No, because the government changed the tests making it a lot tougher to pass. So when they come out with all these figures they dont say it was in part because the test was more stringent.

You need 15 points to pass

One of the criteria you recieved 15 points and was therefore entitled to IB, now its only 9...... So if your IB was being claimed under that criteria alone you would be refused, so in effect its pointless filling the form in as you could only indicate 9 points.

There are many people in this situation who were entitled to IB who know no longer qualify under the new criteria. Doesnt mean to say they were cured or the claim was fraudulant.

But saying all that, yes there are some out there, were all seen the headlines/tv programs were people abuse the system and yes they should be dealt with and monies recovered.

  7. Hi all. The main thing im concerned about is being correctlly tax.

The tax man said i wont pay tax on the GSP which is correct, the IB will be taxable and i wont be subjebt to social charges as GSP and IB are excempt.

So before i went i new i would be paying tax on the IB and nothing else, so im happy they came to the same conclusion.

The documents were completed to their instructions, will have to wait and see
  8. Just got back from Tax office in Mayenne and was told not to add them together............

Shall wait and see what happens. Will post here when a i get a tax bill, or b get the forms back saying wrong boxes and totals.................................

  9. Hello, i get a government service pension, taxable in the UK and incapacity benefit that is taxable in France. Retired early on ill health grounds so not yet claiming state pension................

I read the other forum but im going to go along with what my tax office says, basically told what boxes to fill in then to return and they will check it...................... Just got doubt whether the two sums i get should be added together in box 1AS
  10. Hi, just been to my take office and been instructed to enter my government service pension in box VII on the 2047 and transfer to 2042 8TI...............

My E121 amount to be entered on to 2047 under pensions, retraites, rentes and transferred to 2042 box 1AS..............................

This box 1AS, am i correct in thinking only the E121 amount is entered here, i dont add the figure from box 8TI to this aswell? Just got this doubt in my head...................

I have completed box VIII as per FAQ and signed the declarations and the 3916 is that it, seems to easy.
