1. We are not a gite. The pool is heated by a 1000kw bio boiler via using a heat exchanger. The bio boiler heats the various buildings during the winter and the pool in the summer. This is the internal setup

  3. What does not sound like a proper contract ? Thats my budget for the work regardless if it takes 2 weeks or 4 weeks.

In your calculations you have failed to factor in I am also providing accommodation.

The world is in a recession some work is better than no work.

  4. Some pictures of the boys in the grounds.

  5.
Am I being a touch cynical or does the OP smack of advertising.
Smacks of advertising asking a question about possible gift ideas ?? Nods head in disbelief. I have used this forum for well over 2 years.

I run a weight loss boot camp in the Loire Vally if you did not already know that.

As is I have made my decision and bought some.
  6.
Are Splats or Hunters relevant in the French context?
Why does the question have to have a French relevance ? There is not a French product that are as funky as the Splats.

They are gifts I will buy online for family in the UK.

Sorry to say I did not find your post very helpful.
  7. As I sit here watching the heavens open I have decided to start Christmas gift ideas.

Has any one bought Splats for there kids ? With all the rain I am thinking of Christmas gift ideas. These seem like a fun & hip alternative to the more traditional welly's.

I think I would be very unpopular if I gave a green pair of Hunters as a gift.

These look rather cool has any one bought any ??

  8. We turned of the tableaus one by one to see where the electric was going this had no affect on the energy that was flowing out of the main box. The electrician was by the EDF power box (three phase ) He had some kind of device that clamps round each cable to see whats flowing out of it. One of the phases seems to be consuming all the energy, that phase was pulsing i.e drawing energy for a couple of units stop drawing energy for a second or two then draw a couple more units and so it went on.

I am wondering could a main cable leak energy in to the ground ? I hope the above makes sense.

( Even with all the breakers off the meter is still spinning )

P.S I doubt its theft as we have no other houses near by we are a small chateau surrounded by fields.
  9. For a while we have been having huge electric bills. We just put it down to high consumption.

However I decided I usage was far to excessive.

€1500 every two months ! I had a specialist out yesterday who ran some basic tests his conclusion is we have a problem possible leak ????? He recommends that we organise to have the property tested to find out exactly where we are loosing power.

Has any one experienced electricity leakage ?? Would home insurance cover that? Guess ill have to call the insurance man ;-(
  10. Does anyone know about lorry clutches? The clutch is fine however I am loosing clutch fluid.

The mechanic says that part after the clutch is leaking & needs replacing The recepteur embrayage he also recommends I change the emetteur embrayage.

Which I think means the clutch master cylinder & slave cylinder. Is that the correct translation ?

The cost for the parts and labour are an eye watering 950 eeek.

My lorry / horse box is a leyland daff 45.130.

Thanks in advance for any answers
