haggis Posted June 3, 2008 Share Posted June 3, 2008 I am a new member of the forum, although I have been a reader for a long time and want to make my first post a big thanks to everyone who participates.We finally found our house, and arrived in Aude at the end of March after many years of dreaming. We are both retired and can think of no better place to enjoy our new free time. Our french as yet is still pretty poor, however I have managed to sort EDF, FT, ADSL, CPAM, Insurance, and last week the re-registration of our UK car.I had read lots of pessimistic stuff about problems with French bureaucracy but we had no problems and I give all credit to the forum posters for this. Because I took your advice, on every occasion I turned up with the correct forms and all the correct additional paperwork, knew what I needed and asked, in French, badly.Thanks again to everyone you are great.
