eddsy
HiWe have just accepted an offer on our property in France and was wondering if we are liable to CGT.We purchased in Nov 2001 and moved to France in April 2002 after selling our house in the UK. We lived there permanantley for 2 years and since then have split our time between France and the UK, approximatley 6 months in each. We pay our taxes and utility bills and do not own another property in the UK or France.I spoke with the agent selling our home and he mentioned we need to prove to the notaire we do not own any other property. How do we go about this? has anybody else had any experience of this.Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.Best RegardsEdds
Eslier
If you have submitted tax returns in the last two years from your French address then this is all the proof of residency you need.
