anotherbanana
Paris businesses say they are suffering a big drop in customers at present, not least people avoiding the place because of the Games but there are apparently other reasons. Judging by the weak business of the gite next door to me folk are being very careful with their money, taking, for example only one week of away holiday rather than two or three. https://www.francetvinfo.fr/les-jeux-olympiques/paris-2024/paris-2024-commercants-et-restaurateurs-deplorent-une-baisse-de-frequentation-sans-precedent_6677007.html
Lehaut
Being eager to spend our "Grey Euro" we are thinking of going to Paris at the end of August for yet another holiday this year. Staying just outside and going in on the TER to explore on our "velo musculaires". I read that the velo routes are quite well developed and August is a quieter time of the year when they all leave Paris to go on their hols. Any thoughts? DaveLister
Don't forget the Paralympics which starts on the 28th August. Might still be a bit busier than normal.
