Which country is the guest this year?...I loved it as a child going there with the entire family clan when it was on the 'place de la Brèche'. The men by the buvette, the women sitting on a bench is the garden at the top end (of this now huge carpark) listening to the orchestra on the band stand, us the kids running wild around the show eager to spend the few francs our uncles, aunts and grand-parents had given us for such a special occasion! ... Les manèges, la barbe-à-papa, les machines agricoles, les animaux etc.... Oh... worth many madeleines all of this...As the show got bigger it all moved to Noron by the river and the atmosphere was never the same after that...
