You nasty boys all upsetting Micky P!

I forgive you MP.

I've often thought a small ads section on here would be a good idea.

You know, personal stuff and the sort of thing Mrs MP was talking

about, limited to a couple of lines and a quid a week. I've got all

sorts I'd like to flog off (two tatty cats and a lawnmower with

functionality issues, for example) and I'd be happy to buy a little

advert.

It's a good point.  There are lots of forums where free small ads are allowed.  Take a lead in French Forums, Archant!  Hold the torch high!  Blaze a trail![I]

PS There was nothing to forgive MP, Lou!  Genuine mistakes are allowed, I think - especially when it's the OH wot dunnit.

Are we talking lonely hearts here??

Ok what would yours be if you had to do one?

Cassis for example. Sexy sausage seeking................

John D.....belly button fluff loving chappie seeks.........

Dick.............Cheeky monkey looking for..............

Twinks............Beautiful singing fairy with a flute wants...............

I'd say mine but you'd all blush. [:)]

EDIT: Leo, you need not say yours.....we can all guess!

Nope - nothing reported. I would only do that if it's something

actually offensive. In these unchartered outer regions of the forum a

lot can get said and done, business transacted, empires rise and fall,

etc without anyone in authority noticing. In fact, if we all moved over

here we could get away with murder for a while, I reckon.

Louise - I could never do a lonely heart ad with a straight face, but for you I will try:

"Middle aged man, skint, own paunch and mostly his own teeth seeks

georgous, pouting nymphet with little or no taste / self respect for

strenuous bedroom activity likely to lead to divorce, bankrupcy and

possible coronary. Age and number of brain cells unimportant."

One might think that this sort of nonsense is confined to the big

cities but a cursory examination of the free ads around here suggests

that the French countryside is heaving (I am pleased with that choice

of word) with people anxious to engage in adulterous liaisons. Where do

they find the time????

[quote user="Dick Smith"]Oh dear, both advertising and a lower case 'e' in 'English'.  Bad form.

When does the "Season of Goodwill" start ?

Went West with the death of Charles Dickens, I think.  To be

perfectly frank, one reason I enjoy the bucolic pastimes of rural

France so much is that I can avoid most of the bullshit that goes with

Christmas. Are the lights on in Oxford Street yet? I can now

more-or-less limit the festive tide to the period December 22nd /

27th.  Much better.  The last works Xmas do I went to in

London was held on a wet Wednesday in February, complete with paper

hats, turkey and drunken singing. What was that all about?

I do a good line in recycled Xmas cards! I have some from at least 10 years ago which I transform into gift tags and Xmas decs for kiddies room....

Though as someone else said (Sorry [:$] that I don't remember your name) if that OTT Xmas extravanganza could be kept from the 23rd to the 26th I would feel much happier! This year my local supermarket was already selling Xmas wrapping paper, Xmas cards and sellotape on the August bank holiday!!!

Edit : Sorry Leo! it was you my humbug friend![:D]

Wow!  I didn't realise that ALL the forum girlies were gorgeous, pouting nymphettes with no self respect! Things suddenly look a lot brighter!

"Debonair sausage with own tomato sauce, fork and grill looking for a raunchy liaison with doughnut.  No excess hair, please.  Groaners welcome."

My bro' was here last week and he bought some newspapers - I read that lonely hearts feature - very funny!

Ummm...let's see.

"Fairy attractive nymphette seeks elf-centred man to run rings round.  Must know all the songs from the Sing-a-ling-a-ling Tree by heart!"
