Rheumatologists

My wife suffers (RA) and has done for many years from the above.

We will be moving hopefully before the end of the year and will be roughly in the area of Vouvant L'Hermenault and Fontenay le Comte.

Has anyone please any good experience of Rheumatologists in the area.  I suppose for protocol that pm's are required for I am sure that the Mods would not allow names and addresses of the professionals to be broadcast here?

We already live in France and have great services and just need to make sure that we have the support mechanism in place before we move.

Could your wife ask her present rheumatologist for a recommendation? Most consultants have some knowledge of their colleagues in different parts of the country, they meet up at conferences etc.

For a start, look for rhumatologue in Niort and La-Roche-sur-Yon in pagesjaunes.fr

Print a list of the result for each town and ask your current rheumatologist if he recognises any name.

If you do as Clair suggests include the town of Lucon as well.

At the hospital there is a largish department dealing with rehabilitation from accidents etc. Mrs Benjamin goes occassionally to have her walking and general movement assessed. This normally results in a number of sessions being prescribed with our local physiotherapist.
