pompeysi
Hello all,We have recently been looking at a property advertised for sale in the St Savin village region, approximately 25 minutes north east of Bordeaux. We appreciate to get a real feel of the place we need to make a journey to visit the property but would be particularly interested before we book a trip to hear any views or any forum members who have any experience or knowledge of this area.In particular we would be interested to hear from anyone that has any knowledge of whether this region is suitable for horses, the climate and if it is popular with tourists as there is gite's attached.Any information large or small will be very gratefully received, thanks, Simon. Blanche Neige
I have not visited this area but from the gite and letting point of view I think your clients would have easy access to both Bordeaux and Bergerac airports and for those travelling by car and ferry the A10 autoroute is a good link to channel ports
pompeysi
Thanks for that, that is good to know.We have been looking at the climate for Bordeaux and surrounding major towns and it seems that they actually receive more rainfall than England. Not a particular worry but we wondered if this was more to do with the type of rain, ie a few days heavy rain, rather than the long wet drizzly days you get in England.
