JayJay
I'm a pain aren't I?
Do you want me to answer that?[Www]Vanilla fudge1lb Caster sugar1/2 pint Evaporated milk4 Tbs Milk4 oz Butter1 Vanilla pod split Pinch of saltNuts (optional) In a saucepan combine sugar, evaporated milk, milk, and salt. Cook and stir over a medium heat until boiling, then lower the heat and stir for 30 minutesImmediately remove saucepan from heat and add the butter and vanilla pod but do not stir. Cool mixture, without stirring, for approx 45 mins Remove the vanilla pod and beat vigorously with a wooden spoon till fudge becomes very thickand just starts to lose its gloss (about 10 minutes total). TWINKLE
Thank-you Dick and Jay! I understand now Mr Smith, I've just read the Indian take-away thread. What a horrible little bully. Dick Smith
Well, there's no point in stinting yourself, is there?I was asking a class today about what they remembered from last lesson (Tudor England - the Welsh again!) and one of them kept on answering that they had been the first to import sugar. When I asked him to try to think of something else he looked all wistful and said "but I like sugar." I thought perhaps you were related?Have also PM'd you. verviale
On a serious note about insonia, in sainsburys and waitrose you can get sleepy time milk, my sister swears by it, they milk the cows at night and the cows produce milk with something in it that makes you sleepy. I do not know all the techchnical makeup, but she says its brilliant, you might be able to get it in France but I have my doubts.
