Meg
Thanks John! But it is also cold and dark......double rubbish. I may invest in some false teeth and rollers then, it may help pass the hours of gloom...........I agree though if it was summer it'd still be early right now! instead it's very late! LEO
Hi Louise,Put the big light on and light the fire, there is that not better. You won't need the false teeth and rollers for another twenty years!

Cassis
What's it all got to do with the Bay City Rollers? And why did the girls at St Anthony's all fancy the little one called Woody?
JayJay
Have you been on the sauce Cassis or I have missed something?[8-)] BTW, they had no taste at St Anthony's, Les & Allan were the best & Eric's eyes! Cassis
You're right about the girls at St Anthony's - I had very little luck there. Clear evidence of bad taste. [:D]
Dick Smith
It was dark here a minute ago, but I've found a marvellous little switch-thing by the door, and if you click it the room gets all light again. Has anyone else seen these things? Do they have them in France? What are they called?
Chris Head
Candles Dick, although a haybale soaked in diesel and ignited gives off warmth as well as light.
Dick Smith
So does our dog. Ever seen a pekingese set fire to itself and then run around the house having a great game as the family tries to catch it? Not a clever animal. My father got it with a well-aimed bucket of water as it ran past, and it got very ungrateful.
Pip
Hey ! You're up to the minute Dick. I've got those little ornamental brass and glass thingy's that you put a burning taper to. It works though, here in darkest Devon [I]
