Hoddy
I just happen to have a copy of a book with the title "Under Milk Wood" on my shelves. It says that it was first published in 1954.Hoddy
Dick Smith
Yes, it was a radio play, later published as a book. It is, in my honed opinion, a pure triumph of the language, with a wit and playfulness rarely seen, a depth of theme and a sophistication of structure which raise it far above a mere radio play. Not just a masterpiece, but a tour de force.
