Does the BBC prefer failures at the OG ?

Sadly, yet again, Paula Radcliffe was hardly worth her train fare to the women's marathon. Despite finishing 23rd PR was interviewed ad nauseam but the Brit with the un-brit name, Mara Yamauchi who came in 6th, was scarcely mentioned. Though I suppose it's her own fault for not being as blonde and photogenic. Or she might be under contract to a rival I suppose.

Well I saw a photogenic blonde being interviewed on Sky News after winning a gold for England in a swimming race.

Her comment was "like that record has been like there for like 19 years like, it's like crazy!................... Like!

A terrific athlete, photogenic but was not a particularly good ambassador for her own language.

Maybe the person who came sixth was similarly uninterviewable?

6th or 23rd they both lost didnt they? [:)]

Perhaps that IS the language of Mansfield.

Very true but if I had come in 6th I would feel a tad miffed at not being allowed a comment.
