Kitty
A follow up - Since finding out how dangerous mishandling wheat bags can be, I have started pouring a little bit of water on the wheat bag just before placing in the microwave and I don't venture far whilst it is heating up.The burnt one has been discarded but I still have another five or six of them. [:D] I love the heat so much that I can't give them up. And after reading on another thread about near misses with electric blankets and wood burning stoves, we are all lucky to be alive... 5-element
Sorry if this is dumb: but, are "wheat bags" those bags full of gel, that one uses on painful joints, or as hot water bottles? [8-)]Can't be wheat though, if it is gel. Or is gel called "wheat" sometimes? They use those gel bags at the kiné all the time, and put them in the microwave to heat them up before they apply it to the sore area. cooperlola
5-e, amazingly wheat bags are filled with wheat...[:D] I'm with you; stick to gel bags to remain safe. They are also versatile as you can freeze them if you need to cool bits of yourself down (I have one or two every night here for my painful bits.[:)])
