Is this bending the rules ?

Are the rules of living in the EU supposed to permit the move of families from one country to another when the breadwinner is unemployed to make use of the benefit system for the betterment of families . I feel sorry for any person who has lost their job in the current climate but a person entering a country to work who leaves their family at home in their own property should return home to it if out of work surely ? Was it intended within the rules that the unemployed person living in rented housing in the country he was working in should be able to claim greater benefit income support etc by bringing his family over. More cash for them than get at home .. Thats what a lot are being advised to do now as the UK system is so generous ...Does France accept this ?

Hi!

There are rules, since France will not accept EC people who would dependant on the French social Security system.

In all cases one will it find it much more simple to claim benefits in the country where one has last worked, that trying to get into a different social system, where there are necessarily hurdles.
