Gastines
Met Eddie at the D-Day Service in Bayeux this year and had a chat,He does his bit for the Normandy Veterans and like his Marathons, does it very quietly. Well done,a bit more publicity for him rather than the so-called celebrity circuit might give teenagers something else to read and think about.Regards. Kitty
I particiated in the longest marathon in the world on Saturday - the Medoc marathon. It's the longest as everyone drinks at the chateaux on the way round. Great fun. I ran about 100 yards of it past some spectators to make it look as if I had run the whole lot. suein56
He should make back to London this afternoon.
And, indeed, he did make it back on Tuesday afternoon saying "I don't think what I did is that amazing, anyone can do it."Well I certainly couldn't. He also raised over £200 000 for Sports Relief. So, he did really well![:)]Sue
